ABOUT US

Born from artistic encounters and a shared desire to create living, vibrant work, Compagnie Fœhn is a circus company bringing together artists from diverse backgrounds: circus performers, a costume designer, musicians… Based in Strasbourg, the company develops multidisciplinary and multicultural approaches, exploring material and bodies as a primary language.

In 2025, the company created its first show, RÊVE ENCORE PLUS, a poetic duet blending circus, dance, and theatre, recounting the friendship between two boys. Currently on tour, this creation is performed by Moroccan artists Hamza El Alouani and Chaouki Amellal.

Alongside the tour, Compagnie Fœhn is carrying out an extensive cultural outreach programme and circus workshops across the Alsace region, in collaboration with several cultural partners such as Les Tanzmatten and the Sociocultural Centre of Montagne Verte. The company also works in schools through the Pass Culture, as well as internationally thanks, among others, to the network of Instituts Français (Benin and Togo in summer 2024, Guadeloupe in November 2025).

Artistically, the company is developing two new creations: AWRAQ (Leaves) and a collaboration with Cie Lonely Circus planned for 2027.

The fœhn is a warm wind that blows across the northern Alps. The story of the company draws its strength from multiple influences, from the south of Morocco to the north of Europe. Like this unpredictable wind, no one knows where you will land once Compagnie Fœhn has carried you away!
